The first of nineteen planned books begins in Buffalo, New York, at the turn of the century. The Pan American Exposition.

It follows the neglected older sister of a musical prodigy and a former newsboy. Both of them are looking for something more in life than what they’ve seen so far.

They will find what they’re looking for in each other.

But first, they’ll have to face dangers, their differences, and the biggest threat to budding relationships known to the the twentieth century—social conventions.
