Ah, February—the month of Valentine’s Day. And February is an extra special month in my heart because it’s also my boyfriend’s birth month! I’d celebrate all twenty-nine days if he’d let me (and if our schedules allowed for it). Would you believe he used to buy me presents on his birthday?
I’m a very lucky girl.
But enough about me—onto me! I have three projects releasing this month, and I’m so excited to share them with you! Not all of the links are live right now, but I will go back and update this post as soon as they’re ready to be clicked and tapped.
And now, without further ado…
As I will mention to anyone who’s spoken with me for more than ten seconds, my boyfriend and I have a kitty named Rochelle. We call her our daughter, and we refer to each other as her parents. And we spoil her rotten, of course. You know, all the usual things two childless millennials (Gen Z-ers?) do with their pets.
The story of how she came to live with us is unconventional, to say the least. But all the details about our beautiful, sweet, rambunctious Dumpster kitty’s adoption can be found in this book.
How I Met My Other Volume 2: Furry Friends, True Tails, an anthology featuring “Rochelle, Nicknamed Rocky” by Megan Fuentes, is now available for pre-order!
I originally wrote this novelette to be included in an anthology I’m planning. My dear author friend Kerry Evelyn convinced me to publish it on its own, so here it is!
It takes place on New Year’s Eve, 1929. Budding Spanish artist and Picasso admirer Carmela Moreno Muñoz spent her life savings on tickets to the Barcelona International Exposition in the hopes of meeting her hero. Unfortunately, she’s forced to bring along a chaperone who has other plans for Carmela’s big day.
From the opposite side of the world comes disillusioned New Yorker Sebastian Collins. He’s desperate for a distraction from the pit in his stomach following Black Thursday. And wow, does he ever find a distraction in the woman with the green cloche hat rounding the corner.
Should he approach her? Does he have the nerve? You’ll have to read the story to find out!
In Barcelona With You: An International Love Affair at a World’s Fair will be available for pre-order this Valentine’s Day!
If you’re new around here, you may be wondering where the heck this Emma Fontaine person came from. Well, she’s me! Emma is the pen name under which I’ll write all of my fairy tale and mythology retellings, and this is her debut!
Included in this anthology is “Sense & Sensitivity,” which begins with the über-sensitive Lady Adeline Augustin-Mignon discovering she is heir to a throne. Not only that, but she’s also been accepted to Once Upon Academy, a magical school for which she never applied. After the king and queen beg for her to consider attending, she agrees to go for a single semester.
While there, Adeline meets new friends, discovers her connection to a beloved fairy tale, and slowly steps out of her shell. She also finds herself intrigued by a cold young man who treats her quite warmly…
This novelette will serve as an introduction to the continent of Winnedor, where all of your favorite fairy tale characters’ life stories play out in interesting ways.
